![]() There wasn't much going on today, so we took a few new pictures of our babies. Three of them will be going to their new homes very soon. We are keeping Amberly. The one tiny one is sale pending. We do have another litter due next week! :)

![]() Snickers little baby that survived is doing great. She has been a great momma, taking care of it. I am pretty sure it is a black tort. The colors seem to change every day with this one! I do not know if it's a girl or boy yet. He/She will be 2 weeks tomorrow, ready for his/her forever home April 4. If it is a buck, he may have a home. If you have any interest get in touch with me. Our babies have been selling quickly! ![]() I woke up yesterday to see if Snickers had her babies. She did and I was so excited until I peeked into the nest. She must have had a rough delivery. Two of the little ones were pushed clear to the back of the nest and were cold. They didn't make it. She had one that was still moving around, but a little banged up. I'm assuming from delivery. Snickers is a good mom and has never hurt her babies. She checked on this little one a lot throughout the day. Maybe she knew it was lonely? I was a little concerned it would get cold so I put 2 heat lamps on the nest. Nice and toasty warm! I was a little worried when I went to check this morning, but the baby is looking great! I'm not sure on color yet, but we will see. Some of our buns had a Valentine's photo shoot! I will have to get the others another day, maybe for Easter! We did get pictures of Sadie's babies at 3 weeks, along with Tank and Khaleesi. Enjoy!
The cages are in our garage until the new Bunny Barn arrives! They all seem to like their new space. Each bun has 5x3x2 to move around. That's a lot of room, especially for my Hollands. I am currently building 2 more cages just like these. Loki, Dumbledore and Hermione are feeling left out! ![]() Khaleesi is on top, Tank on the bottom. Both are keeping their homes pretty clean and using their litter boxes! Tank was not using a litter box until recently, I gave him 2 and he now uses it better than the ladies. ![]() Sadie and her babies are on top. Even the babies are using the litter box! They do make a mess out of the hay though. Snickers is on the bottom. She is due any day so a heat lamp is on for her nest. Snickers is not the best about her litter box so I gave her 2. Along with the new cages I am also building them some nice hay boxes. They hold 2 full flakes of hay which is great for me. They were easy and super cheap to make. I only have one completely done, but all will get one when I'm finished. It's a big cold for me to cutting wood right now so maybe next week! I keep the open end up against the wall, otherwise they might pull out the hay out at once. The slots are wide enough that babies can get through (and they do), but they can get out so no worries. :) |
